ZR5 Digibeta Lineup

Need Sony ZR5 line up tape
Put ZR5 tape into digi m/c and go into the  maintenance menu
First need to check playback is OK
( Menu then CTRL and SET together)
jog to C1 and press SET. this puts you in C10 "channel condition"
press SET again
press SET again (now have white square in top RHS and transport
controls are enabled)
Hit PLAY. If after a while the chevrons are on green the p/b is OK
press MENU to exit.

Now want to do RF CHECK
In engineering menu select A1, press SET then select A10 ("adjust")
and press SET again.
Now follow the on screen instructions and at the end it hopefully says
OK and ejects the tape
Now go back to RF adjust menu and jog down to A1F ("NV RAM Control")
press SET then select "save all adjust data" and press SET
The machine says "save complete" now hit MENU several times to get out of
setup etc.

Now want to set the RECORD DRIVES
put a tape into m/c upon which it can record (switch all lockouts off)
Go to engineering mode (MENU then CTRL and SET together)
Select A1 ("RF adjust") and press SET. then select A18 ("REC Current")
press SET and then jog down to AUTO (hold jog button while rotating dial)
Press SET again ( gives white square in top RHS) and it starts auto set up.
Hopefully heads 1 and 2 (chroma) will be similar, as will heads 3 and 4 (luma)
When setup has finished then press MENU to come out, select "NV RAM"
and save all data.
Now MENU, MENU, MENU etc to exit engineering mode
